Honestly, it is a rather obscure flick but, somehow, I still ended up watching it. First of all, I’m a big sucker for movies dealing with cons, especially when they are not too far-fetched like this one and, I must admit it, I actually liked this flick. Of course, it was not a game changer, it rather faithfully followed the formula but I liked the character and the whole thing kept me entertained from the beginning until the end. Another guilty pleasure provided by this flick was too see Stuart Townsend and Kate Beckinsale before they made it big. Of course, the biggest thing that ever happened to Stuart Townsend was to be Aragorn for ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy for a couple of days before being kicked out and also being Charlize Theron’s boyfriend for almost a decade (Ok, I wouldn’t mind being a boyfriend either). Of course, for Kate Beckinsale, it was a whole different story as, 6 years later, she became a househould name with 'Underworld' (though you could argue that even though she is really charming to look at, she has never done anything where she displayed some really impressive acting skills). To conclude, even though the whole thing was nothing really amazing, I thought it was pretty good and it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
