Shark Tale review

Posted : 7 years, 2 months ago on 23 February 2017 08:48

Una película animada irónicamente "ps pspsss... anti-cua-DA!" ; puede ser divertida y poco inspirada y llena de gags random que pueden o no funcionar. Es simplemente mala.

An average movie

I already saw this movie but since it was a while back, I thought I might as well check it out again. In fact, I actually saw this flick in the movie theater with my wife and kids when it was released. Back then, it was a critical flop and it has indeed a rather lame reputation but, personally, I think it is not so bad after all. I mean, I have to admit it, with this production, the limitations of DreamWorks Animation became rather obvious, especially compared to the stellar work delivered by Pixar at the time. Indeed, even though the plot was really different, this movie was probably still too similar to ‘Finding Nemo’ which was released just the year before. Another annoying trademark from DreamWorks, still used nowadays, was to have a star-studded cast to cover up the fact that the story was actually rather weak. Fortunately, the voice cast was actually really spot on this time and it made the whole thing probably more entertaining than it actually deserved. Indeed, in this case, they came up with a rather convoluted story involving some gangsters sharks but, to be honest, it never really worked. It didn’t help that 99% of the jokes were based on some or more less obscure pop-culture references  and these jokes became fairly soon rather tiring, even borderline exhausting. And, yet, I have to admit that the damned thing was still fairly entertaining, above all, thanks to the neat voice-cast involved. Anyway, to conclude, in spite of its flaws, it was a decent watch and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.

Let’s get Bruce, Plankton and Jaws to destroy this

I was a very young kid when I saw this one, I guess it’s not really a film for adults or children over about 9, now I just think this is DreamWorks’s first bad animated film and basically a bland rip-off of Finding Nemo and is not worth a look at all and if you have young kids, just show them something you’d enjoy too

Shark Tale review

Posted : 11 years, 8 months ago on 23 August 2012 02:20

This hip-hop/mob action comedy set undersea is fast, fresh, fun, and finny ... er, funny. Okay, you watch the movie and see if you don't come out making silly jokes like that. This isn't a classic like Finding Nemo or Shrek, but it throws so much at you so fast you will be too busy enjoying yourself to notice.

The plot is nothing special, but the visuals are, with eye-popping color and wonderfully expressive fish faces, hilariously funny and surprisingly touching. The voice talent is top-notch and the animators have managed to bring the essence of the actors to the characters. Don Lido has De Niro's birthmark on his cheek and Oscar has Smith's eyes and mouth. There are dozens of gags and pop-cultural references and some bright musical numbers that keep things moving briskly, with a remake of the Rose Royce "Car Wash" song by Missy Elliot and Christina Aguilera a highlight.

Worst animated movie ever.

Posted : 14 years, 8 months ago on 16 August 2009 02:49

This movie is stupid. I can not believe some people accaily like this dred. I about some yellow of snake who extremely retarded & held hostage by some fat yellow ape & 2 gay blue monkeys. The plot basically makes "See Spot Run" look like "(500) Days of Summer" (& that's offensive comparin). as if the stoners from "50 First Dates" deside to make 500 copies of this crap to make some money off it.

Animation: Ahhh My Eyes

The caracter don't even look like fish.

Oscar=Snake
Angie=Parrot
Sykes=Ape
Lola=Rabbit
The elly-fish=Monkeys (I'm sick of animated shows & movie that make fun of primates)

ranked: 1/10

Characters: Errr.. Skip that

I don't want to be bashed on about my own opinons

Ranked: 1/10

The Voice-Acting: OW!

Dreamworks animation didn't do a bad job with "Kung Fu Panda" nor "Monsters Vs. Aliens", Shark Tale however sound like a bunch of Canaidans & Scottlanders smoking a ton of weed in the recording studio. luckly that never happened.

Ranked: 0/10

Humor: Not even a stuff bear finds it funny.

Sykes doing an appaling impersonation of Gilbert Gottfried. Too Painful even for Critics.

Ranked: 2/10

Pros & Con: another thing I don't like about this movie........is so painful......well to me:)....is that Stupid Pufffish or Gorilla....or whatever that yellow thing is have his blue monkey henchmen torching the poor yellow snake & ignor what he has to say. I have to adit the gags in this movie should of gaving this a PG-13 rating.

Overall: 1/10

In Councion: This Youtube Video is better than this piece of Blue monkey droppings

Not that Great

Posted : 16 years, 7 months ago on 21 September 2007 06:14

Well, this must have been a while ago when i saw this, cause i can't remember one bit what its about! By the sound of it it was a good cast, awesome charatcter personalities.

But as i can remember i found it quite disappionting and not really worth seeing. I would consider seeing it again so i can remember what its like, but pretty sure i wouldnt like it if i did. The great thing about this movie though, 'Car Wash'. The song, haha, i remember that. Classic.
