If Christopher Doyle, a regular cinematographer in Wong Kar-wai made a Andy Milligan film on crack with seizure inducing free jazz/noise music as the main character is seen sporting a Merzbow t-shirt. Aryan Kaganof is a director who always thrills and amazes me with his DIY films and this one is shot with DV cameras. Even though, Tokyo Elegy isn't one of my favorites of his, it's the one I respect the most out of his entire filmography.
