An average movie

To be honest, this movie was not really a high priority but since it was on Netflix and since it was suggested by one of my favorite listal members, I thought I might as well check it out. ย Well, eventually, I had a hard time to judge the damned thing. First of all, care-giving is one the greatest jobs ever, in fact, it was a job that my father had for a while, mostly because he was/is a foreigner without enough qualifications so it was basically the only thing he would be hired for. Anyway, this movie gave a decent view on this job but there was still enough stuff that did bother me though. First of all, even though Trevor was described as a supposedly impossible client, the guy seemed to be pretty relaxed, witty and with a healthy sense of humor and I'm pretty sure my dad would have been glad to have such an easy client. Furthermore, why on Earth did they have to go on a road-trip? In my opinion, it would have made much more sense to slowly build it up, making some small trips instead and going each time again further from Trevor's home. Finally, even though it was pretty sweet that they would find ย a teenager hitchiker so that Trevor could finally hang out with a cute girl, they pushed it just too far by having her staying with them several days. I'm not saying that it was inappropriate, it's just that it wasn't realistic at all. Anyway, to conclude, ย even though it didn't really convince me, it was still a decent watch and it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.

The Fundamentals of Caring (2016) review

Posted : 7 years, 10 months ago on 26 June 2016 03:17

This sort of reminds me of Who's Driving Doug that I watched last month although the cast here is much bigger. Also this based on a novel of course. This looks to be Rob Burnett's first venture into writing/directing a film. I was wondering what was going on there. He definitely does have a unique sense of humor. Yeah this kid is definitely an asshole and it's hilarious. Ah the witty and serious banters. This kid would give me a serious heart attack. Okay that was pretty funny. All the little gags in this dramedy are pretty golden. Yeah Selena Gomez is really trying to be an adult with this one with all her crude words and such. Pervin Mervin lol. Hahaha that was such a good one! Oh no that's just terrible. Man that's just rough. Wow that was pretty powerful. He's just standing there like WTF is that about? Aw that's creative. Okay that ending was actually perfect. I really liked the characters here. The acting was phenomenal. Everything was so well rounded here. I actually was expecting a bit more drama though. It's still definitely worth checking out.ย
