"The salon drama is hardly the most exciting genre of the silent era, and though technically proficient in just about every aspect, the most enjoyment I got out of this film was a mean laugh when I realized it was really going the route of "incest is fun until it isn't" which seems slightly hypocritical when your subjects are mostly royals but also kinda honest? I dunno, but really, this film doesn't offer much beyond some glorious tinting effects. "
