Kill Game (2018) Reviews

Desperate for something new to watch I decided to go with this one. I have heard mixed feelings about it, but I here it has some decent slasher stuff so that's why I let curiosity grab me. Plus there are a few actors I recognize. This is the directorial debut for Robert Mearns who wrote one other film that I know nothing about. Anyways let's see if this was worth it. Well that opening felt a bit all over the place. Not sure what to make of it. I hope it will explain. I don't think I have ever seen that done until now. Ah I think I know what's going on already. If I'm wrong then this is much better than I expected. If I'm right then there isn't much to it and hopefully the kills will be what is memorable. Okay they are really good at toying with them. Looks like I could be wrong as the plot thickens. That is certainly a different way to do things. Well damn I didn't think that was going to happen so quickly. I swear I do not understand people like that. This is probably the most disturbing scene so far. It's even fairly original. Well aren't they a badass. I kind of expected as much after awhile. I hope that there is some more to it though. Okay never mind they are doing really well with these twists! That's actually a pretty good one and totally unexpected for me anyways. See that was not a smart thing to do. Oh my god that looks terrible! Did they really add that Wilhelm scream!? That was hilarious when it should have been serious. My head is going to explode with all the twists and turns. The part at the hospital was pretty haunting. That ending was a bit ambiguous and I guess leaves things entirely up to interpretation. It was actually pretty well done. It keeps you guessing and when you think you understand you don't. The acting is pretty good except for a few moments here and there. There were only a few really good kills with one in particular that will definitely stand out. I thought it was a bit too long though as it had moments that just dragged. At times it does get a little convoluted. It was still entertaining and not bad for a modern slasher. If you want something new that keeps you guessing I say check it out.
