"March 19th Directed by: Ermanno Olmi Start to finish a great film. I definitely did not know what Rutger Hauer + Ermanno Olmi was gonna look like, and I could not have hoped for any more. Olmi was still rockin' that classic mid-century European style late into the 80's, and Hauer wears every one of his character's thoughts on his face like it's written across his forehead, he is transcendent. The plot is just as thin as I like it to be, this is one of those films that just feels substantial. "
