Knerten (2009)

A tough, naughty, quick-witted and brave boy, Lillebror, has just moved, and has not made any new friends yet. His imaginary friend - the wooden twig Knerten - appears in the middle of a pile of firewood. When Lillebror's mum gets a job in a store while Dad is out traveling as an underwear salesman, Lillebror has to manage on his own most of the day. With Knerten in his hand, he encounters a new everyday life filled with excitement and drama. But can a pine twig be a real friend - and can the family afford to stay in the run-down house?
