Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Keanu Reeves, I thought I might as well give it a try. By the way, what happened to the guy actually? I mean, when was the last time he released something really worthwhile? Anyway, that was definitely a rather weak feature and the main issue was above Keanu Reeves himself. On the other hand, what was actually the main issue? His legendary wooden acting or his rather boring character who happened to be really poorly written? That’s a tough one. However, even with another actor, even if they even if they would have completely changed the main character, I’m not sure if the story would have been much more interesting. Eventually, the best thing about this flick was James Caan whose character was by the far the only interesting one and Caan definitely delivered a solid performance. Concerning Vera Farmiga, she was quite charming as usual and she did her best but I can’t say I really cared for her character either. Anyway, to conclude, it was basically one of those underwhelming and supposedly quirky indie productions but the whole thing was just rather boring and I don’t think it is really worth a look.
