Flatland (1982)
A Square of Flatland meets a higher dimensional Sphere. Scarce version of classic math allegory by prolific populist mathematician. Not much seems known about this Flatland film, which is odd since the creator is quite famous. Professor Michele Emmer teaches Mathematics at the University La Sapienza in Rome, and has been very active at the intersection of math, art, and culture. He's coordinated exhibitions in Venice and Paris, and among his many books and films are works about the trippy Dutch illustrator M.C. Escher, and the most relevant book "Mathland: From Flatland to Hypersurfaces" (2003).
