Disturbing Behavior review

Posted : 7 years, 8 months ago on 18 August 2016 01:06

This has been on my to watch list for awhile so I decided to go ahead and check it out. The cast here is pretty excellent. Although I'm not quite a fan of Katie Holmes. The premise though is what really caught my attention though in the first place. I haven't seen any movies from David Nutter, but he has worked on excellent shows like Game of Thrones and Supernatural. Scott Rosenberg isn't one who has particularly great movies. Most of what he has written are Nicolas Cage films or some under the radar stuff. So with that and the ratings I have seen this could go either way. The opening credits were a tad long, boring, and rather annoying. Well that escalated quickly! This kind of reminds me of a mixture of Mean Girls (the cafeteria scene), The Faculty, and Stepford Wives. Katie Holmes definitely has multiple reactions from me. Sure she is a decent actress, but I don't always see the admiration. In this movie I thought she was cute, somewhat attractive, and other times not at all. Anyways I prefer her gothy look than anything else. James Marsden and Nick Stahl were pretty cool as usual. My favorites here though were definitely William Sadler as Dorian and Chad Donella as U.V. Those two were major scene stealers. Disturbing is a good word to use some of what happens here. There were some great scenes throughout that kept me watching. That ending was pretty good. Too bad they never went anywhere with that. It could have made for an interesting sequel. It's a bit cheesy at times and definitely has the dated 90s vibe. It's still a pretty fun watch though. If you've never seen it I say check it out.

Not that good. Personally, I like the idea, the cast wasn't horrible, and the movie could have been good... but it's clearly ruined by a poor script, and a bad director. And even so, I do like it, but it isn't that worth seeing.

A bad movie

Oh God!! I really really didn’t like this flick… I mean, of course, with such a title, I wasn’t expecting much but even with such low expectations, it managed to disappoint me… I don’t know, some people do seem to have enjoyed this movie but I thought the plot was just completely tedious. Of course, I’m aware of the fact that the whole thing shouldn’t be taken too seriously but it doesn’t change the fact that it still has to be entertaining somehow and it was definitely not the case here. In my opinion, the whole thing was just terribly lazy, unoriginal and just really boring to watch. The cast was made of 3 upcoming young actors (Nick Stahl, Katie Holmes, James Marsden) and it is interesting to note where their career went from there. Nick Stahl is still making movies nowadays but most of them are just some obscure B features and he is apparently struggling with some substance issues. Since Katie Holmes has married (and in the mean time already divorced) Tom Cruise, her career is going pretty much nowhere and it is too bad as she was a really promising actress before she met the guy. James Marsden is the only one who managed to have a decent career, even though you don’t see him much portraying the lead character nowadays. A part from that, I don’t have much else to say about this flick, except that, apparently, in some markets the film lasted only a week in cinemas, so I guess, I wasn’t the only one who didn’t care at all about this flick. Anyway, to conclude, I think it is pretty lame and I don’t think it is really worth a look at all.

This is actually one of my favorite thrillers, or is it considered a horror? Who knows? All I know is I love this movie. Think the Stepford Wives, but with kids. The twist is the kids go psycho big time. If you find it on DVD rent or even buy it, you won't be disappointed
