August 28, 1962. On this Saturday morning, as usual, uncle Simon provides the citizens of the Communist state - entrusted to his care - with the news, good advice and musical entertainment through the local housing block radio. He and his wife contend that nothing happens on this day, either, and that probably nothing will happen in about 30 years to come. Yet something still happens: The Communist Youth Organisation announces a competition of talents, and the winners may travel to the Union of World Youth to be held in Helsinki.
