An average movie

Even before Kathryn Bygelow made her comeback with the really impressive 'The Hurt Locker', I have always been interested by her work and therefore I was really eager to check this flick which sounded really awesome. Eventually, I thought it was not bad at all but, to be honest, I was expecting a little bit more from this feature. I mean, there was some good stuff, Jamie Lee Curtis did deliver a strong perfomance and it was definitely quite refreshing to see a woman being the lead character in an action movie. On top of that, the directing was obviously pretty good too but unfortunately, I thought that the story was not really original and very predictable. I mean, except from providing a strong female character, this movie didnโ€™t have much else to offer. After this, Bigelow went to direct 'Point Break' which surprisingly turned out to be quite a cult-classic even though I'm not myself a huge fan of this movie. Anyway, coming back to our main feature, to conclude, even though it wasnโ€™t really amazing, it is still a decent thriller and it is definitely worth a look especially if you wonder what Kathryn Bigelow did at the beginning of her career.

Words could not describe how bad this movie is...or at least why it was longer than an episode of Law & Order. Seriously, the last hour of the movie features a surprisingly sexy Jamie Lee Curtis being played by Ron Silver in a twisted game of cat and mouse. Ron Silver plays a great character, but the movie fails to support him.
