Description:
Milford W. Howard has a dual role, as minister Roger Chapman and escaped convict Tom Sullivan. When Sullivan encounters Chapman and sees the resemblance, he forces him to exchange clothes. Chapman is killed and Sullivan winds up not only taking over his identity, but also his calling. He also takes care of Chapman's daughter Margey (Dereclys Perdue). Working as a minister causes Sullivan to reform completely and he becomes a well-loved and well-respected member of the community.
