An average movie

It was another really obscure feature but since I had this DVD for ages, I thought it was really time to watch the damned thing. Well, even though the subject was really interesting and the whole thing really did have some potential, it didn't really work out very well. Basically, it is one of these hyperlink features where a whole bunch of stories are loosely linked together. Well, I always had a weak spot for the genre but, to be honest, I think this one displayed the weakest structure I have ever seen. I mean, if you took all the tales separately, they were actually all really good and most of them could have worked fine as a stand-alone but they were poorly put together. Indeed, the only connection they had was that they were dealing either with guns or violence in general and this connection was just really too thin to work. On top of that, with a rather short running time (not even 90 minutes), there was no way they could manage to properly developed each stories. The biggest victim was Donald Sutherland who played a gun shop owner as this character seemed at first really interesting but they didn't do anything at all with this character after all. Anyway, to conclude, in spite of its flaws, I still think it was an interesting watch though and it is actually worth a look.
