This is a sequel?

Posted : 10 years, 3 months ago on 26 January 2014 02:07

This is a sequel? Oh yeah they called it 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel' considering that they squeak, well this sequel had some funny slapstick and could've been much better than the first, but thanks to the annoying Chipettes, it's just as bad as its predecessor

Whenever they sing, I want to yank my hair out, if you want to punish your younger kids, send them to bed without dinner, if you want to punish your older kids, show them this and remove:

Alvin playing Wii and throwing the remote into the telly
Dave slipping on a skateboard when Alvin decides to sleep

And that'll be the perfect punishment!

A bad movie

Posted : 12 years, 2 months ago on 11 March 2012 12:13

Obviously, I didn't expect much from the damned thing and indeed it turned out to be pretty bad. Eventually, the only thing positive about this movie was that it wasn't worse than its predecessor, that's it... But I can't say it was better either though. The most incredible thing is that this sequel was actually a success, even one of the most successful movies ever made! I mean, I can accept that the 1st movie was a success, it was something new, based on a popular cartoon, but why all those people would pay ONCE again some expensive movie tickets to see such a worthless sequel?!? Anyway, once again, those chipmunks were terribly obnoxious, the jokes were terrible, the music was awfull and I won't even mention the 'plot'... Since I have 3 kids, I have watched and still watch many family features with them and it is really depressing that so many parents would bring their kids to watch this when there are so many better and underrated kid flicks out there. To conclude, it was pretty bad, it is not worth a look whatsoever and if you want to watch something with your kids, just watch 'Fantastic Mr Fox' or anything done by Pixar instead.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel review

Posted : 14 years, 2 months ago on 7 March 2010 03:24

"Oh it is on like Donkey Kong."

Compared to the first, this one looked like a teen flick. I wouldn't say I was disappointed, because Theodore can have as many movies as he wants and I wouldn't give a darn. The usual storyline; Alvin thinks only of himself, lets his brothers down, Ian tries to steal the spotlight, but Alvin saves the day after a sudden rush of conscience. Still a great movie in terms of the entertainment factor, but if you'll ask me which movie I prefer, I'd go for the first one. This one is quite predictable; I mean, the chipmunks are famous and are suddenly thrust into high school and they have to deal with new chipmunks who can sing "Single Ladies" while wagging their tiny tails? Even you can guess what would happen: competition competition competition. It's like a chipmunk version of Mean Girls. Think about it! The Chipettes are fresh at being famous and they do all they can to bring down the popular group. It's the same with Cady Heron and the Plastics, except that THIS Cady has a heart and isn't as bitchy and whore-ish.
Whatever they say, I still think that it's Theodore who rules this group. :pppp
