I have seen this about five or six times now, and I completely enjoy it every time I put it on. It's definitely light and stupid comedy, but overall, it's pretty decent. Solid cast, story, acting, and definitely one of the better comedies of this type (the idiotic humour). Justin Long is great as the creator of a fake college, to get his parents off his case about not having been accepted anywhere else, and the things he has to learn along the way, in order to take it from fake to real, are just entertaining to watch.

A surprising movie

Before watching this movie, I had actually never heard of it before and, to be honest, I had some very low expectations towards the damned thing. And, indeed, the beginning was pretty lame as it was just way too similar to all the standard High School/College comedies I have seen before. What bothered me even more was that I was supposed to believe that Justin Long was a College Freshman. Seriously, the guy was already 28 years old when he made this flick and, to make things worse, it was seriously obvious when you look at ย the way he talked and his body language. So, the whole thing started pretty bad but then, I have to admit it, I actually got quite caught up by the story and eventually, I thought it was in fact a pretty good concept. Of course, the movie never properly develop this concept and it remained in the safe zone but still, the whole thing was actually not bad at all. I could have been awesome if it would have been a drama instead of a comedy and if they would have actually taken the subject seriously. Still, even if it was nothing great and really predictable, it was a decent watch and I think it is definitely worth a look.

I saw this on HBO and it was a good thing that I was able to watch it from the beginning. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste my time watching it. But then, it was quite fun. You know, creating your own school with your own curriculum, own rules, own playground - basically creating your own self! And yes, it's far from being true. And at some point, I find the leading character boring. Haha. I don't even remember the actor's real name. :P

haha, as a random choice i saw this.
I had no idea what it was going to be like. I guess it was just a random pick from the video store. But im glad i did.

It was pretty funny, apart from a few lame jokes. The story is origional and hillarious;
teenagers just graduating from high school that can't get into college make up a college from an old hospital.
they have to have it looking like a real college for their parents when they come to visit. But all they really do is skate, swim and chill out. no real college.

And guess what the the college is called (one of the funniest jokes of the movie):
South Harland Institute of Technology
In other words ... SHIT
haha SHIT heads.

lol, you should really see this one! a good laugh and entertainment for a rainy day. or just to chill out. :)

Tired of being rejected by colleges and universities he applied to, Bartleby Baines (Justin Long) decides to create a 'fake' university, the South Harmon Institute of Technology (S.H.I.T.). He wants to make his parents proud of who he is, by becoming accepted at that university. With the help of some friends, he will create a too-good-to-be-true place where many students will be accepted.

Is it funny? Yes, most times. Clichรฉd? Very much so. Predictable? Definitely.

ACCEPTED is still an enjoyable comedy.
