" It feels very much like a cartoon brought to life. There's absolutely nothing serious about it, and in some ways it doesn't really feel like it belongs with the rest of the franchise in terms of how it treats Freddy. I do kinda amusingly enough enjoy the idea that Freddy has basically killed every child in Springwood and that the adults there have gone insane because of that, but that idea is shamefully never explored. "

"Re-watch - Oct. 26th The originally intended final film in the series gets its only points by having fun with things, but unfortunately winds up being more comedy than horror which doesn't send Freddy off in a satisfying way. Parts of the film are beyond ridiculous, and we wind up getting a new back story for Freddy that doesn't make much sense. Oh wait, much of the film doesn't make much sense.
