I always loved the alabasta arc... So I was a bit sad for all the cuts to the original story (above all, the events in rainbase and the role of the marines), and I tought it deserved original soundtracks made specifically for the movie, but after all as a movie, it comes together pretty well... I loved the part with robin towards the end, and the feelings of the original arc are still there.

Being part 1 not so bad, I had some expectations for this... but they were screwed up (breaks death's invincible wand and trows it down the bridge... wait... what???)

Well, I suppose I expected it to be worse... but in the end probably the sceneries are so good you can almost forget the terrible plot mistakes that makes it totally incoherent...
