The Evil Within 2 - PC Games
I am a self confessed huge fan of the original Evil Within, for me that game stands alone amongst survival horror games of this generation, but it did cause me to get quite excited by the prospect of the sequel.
Would this new game match up to it's superb precursor??
In short, no. But that's perhaps more my personal preference then any downfall of the title itself.
One of the things i liked most about the original were the wonderful environments that you were shepherded through in a very linear track, like a horror maze at an amusement park, the sequel still has these segments and they really shine proving to be the sequel at its best, but when it isn't following this strict path you're left in a small scale open world, which doesn't really feel very tight or especially interesting, with all most MMO like levels of disengagement in the game world, mobs wandering around aimlessly on set path ways, it kinda feels like this game was heading for a scripted experience like it's forebear and then someone in a boardroom said, it's got to have open world, open world is the future, and we ended up with what feels like shoehorned sections of openworld gameplay interspersed with the quality linear experience.
When this game sticks to it's roots it's superb but the occasional open world distraction leaves it in the wake of it's superior forebear.
Still excellent but not quite to the standards exhibited from it's seminal original

The Evil Within: The Executioner - PC Games
Again very impressed by the quality of the DLCs on this game. They take a very different turn. The original game was an third person action shooter, the two first DLC turn into a stealth game with no weapons and now this one turn into a first person game where you play as a big brute monsters and is filled with boss fights. Every DLCs have unique upgrade paths, very well done. Just a bit too short and easy.

This dlc is a continuation of the previous one and it answers a few questions that were missing from the original game. The gameplay is the same as it was in the previous dlc.

Good DLC. Different mechanics than main game. Stealth based because you can't use firearms. Recommended if you want to know more about the story

honestly one of the best survival horror games i've ever played. if you're into true survival horror, where ammo/supplies are limited, this is a great game for you.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice - PC Games
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has really different taste. You experience completely something different. The atmosphere, story, gameplay, graphics & audios… Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has proved us, an indie game can compete with AAA productions. There are some facts which I really liked about this game. However, there are also things which bothered me.
The atmosphere of this game is completely amazing. Senua has psychosis and she copes with inner voices. All the voices you hear during the game, feels you perfectly uncomfortable, they have adapted really well. Designing of the environment, the quality of the graphics and audios, puts you into the middle of the atmosphere and let you feel it deeply.
The story is neither an epic story nor the worst. It is just fine, could be better though. It doesn’t make you bored but also doesn’t make you excited either.
The biggest problem is game-play. Although the combat sequences are pretty satisfying, variety of the enemies are not enough at all. In the very beginning I thought that, puzzles have designed really wisely then I have realized that is completely repetitive. What I mean is, you do almost the same puzzles from the beginning till the end.
As a summary, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice provides an amazing experience with good price. I believe that everyone should play and experience it.

It's an awesome game. A worthy successor to Rise of the Tomb Raider.
I loved the story, the environments were beautiful and there were a few side-quests to complete as well.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two - PC Games
Valve outdid their HL2 work with these episode. The gameplay is as fun as it was, and the new mechanics just make the game better. It's a shame we still have to wait for the conclusion of Gordon's story.

Half-Life 2: Episode One - PC Games
Of course it isn't as good as Half-Life 1 or 2. It never was going to be and it never planned to be. Its a great continuation of the story from HL2 and very entertaining and satisfying in it's own right.

Half-Life 2 - PC Games
Half Life 2 is truly the epitome of what an FPS should be. From start to finish, this game is a masterpiece that even exceeds a lot of recent games. Between it's way-ahead-of-its-time graphics, amazing level design, and exhilarating gameplay, Half Life 2, even 16 years after release, still sets the bar high for all future games.
Graphics: 9/10
HL2's graphics still hold up pretty well in 2020. This game is designed beautfiully, and there's an extremely unique atmosphere that you feel as soon as you step into City 17. I remember playing the Orange Box as a kid, and thinking to myself "There's NO WAY graphics can get any better than this." Well, I was certainly wrong there, but that doesn't take away from the timeless look that Valve gave us.
Narrative: 9/10
Gordon's journey is a blast to experience. I think the story is very well-written, creatively playing off the events of HL1, while also expanding the environment and establishing its own identity. It may have a couple sluggish moments here and there, but for the most part, the action keeps on rolling with ease.
Protagonist: 10/10
The ever-silent Gordon Freeman, never change.
Characters/Interactions: 10/10
There is a plethora of supporting characters, both good and bad, that drive this story forward. In addition, interacting with the now-friendly Vortigaunts is a nice touch. And the Alyx and Dog combo provides some of the game's most cheerful moments.
Gameplay: 10/10
I can't find one thing to complain about here. The level design in this game is insane. The horror-themed Ravenholm is one of my favorite parts of the entire story. Same with the long Highway 17 cruise through the Antlion infested coast. Per usual, Half Life utilizes some unique puzzles and platforming that are sure to test your brain power. But the real highlight here is the Gravity Gun. It is by far the most fun weapon to use, and it really elevates this game to the next level.

Black Mesa (2012) - PC Games
Back in 2012 i would never imagine it could turn out so well, but it did. We waited a long time for this remake to be finished but the new Zen levels are worth it. This is how a remake should be done.

South Park: The Stick of Truth - PC Games
Bought the game on sale recently for dirt cheap and got what I expected. It has a surprising Fun combat system but I was disappointed by the lack of any real challenge, even on hardcore. The story was what to be expected from south park, but in a few parts it felt like it was trying too hard. Most of the quests have the same structure and were somewhat boring. The dialouge is what really carried this game If you find it for under 15$ it's a good deal.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War - PC Games
An educational puzzle-action game about WW1. The sketchy artwork, flash animations, and colors articulate together to generate a credible and atmospheric world, that is worth immersing yourself in for a while. The various scenarios are well-scripted and the characters are like-able. This is a heart-warming story that will inevitably move you by the time the end credits roll. The game-play is enjoyable yet the puzzles and overall challenge suffer from the fact that the game is clearly geared towards children. Adults will still get something out of it but its over-simplistic nature severely limits its reach.

Even better than the first one! Love how they focused more on the stealth aspect in fact outside a few forced combat situations I managed to stealth my way through the whole game.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - PlayStation 3
A good game that feels too similar to it's predecessor. The story was enjoyable, but it didn't offer up anything else new to push it to the 9 or 10 level for me. Everything is still great, it just played like Uncharted 2.5. If you liked Uncharted 2, definitely check this out. Just don't get too excited for it.

INSIDE - PC Games
It’s a pretty good short game, the puzzles are great and the melancholic atmosphere really hits. But in my opinion, it’s kinda overrated. Is it a great game? Yes. Is it a masterpiece? ...nah. I would still recommend this game, I hope you can get more of it than I did, but perhaps I was expecting too much, who knows.

It's a good game for horror-game beginners. The focus is on the story. It is very well presented in different ways (talking, film-sequences, manuscripts etc.). The gameplay / the fights are sometimes a bit repetitive.

This expansion is a gift for us gamers, its a huge expansion with lots of high quality content, new beautiful area, amazing new story and characters, gameplay improvements, better enemies and boss fights and amazing new music. Its the best DLC for a game you can buy, its cheap and its great content.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - PC Games
An incredible RPG filled with brilliant stories in an immersive fantasy world that seems so alive with its howling winds, charming towns and cities, and a soundtrack to rival them all. Combat is mostly fun. I think the swordplay is great, the dismemberment is brutal and satisfying, but the rest of Geralt's movement in the game is awkward and at times quite annoying. Playing as Ciri is also boring as her move sets don't seem nearly as fleshed out.
The main quest is obviously great, but it does drag somewhere in the middle and I felt some of the boss fights were corny, too easy and maybe even just lazily executed. Still an absolutely brilliant game and I can't wait for that free graphics upgrade so that I can have another crack at it.
The side content is perhaps the best part of the game. All the other little mysteries and contracts, some of which evolved into larger stories of their own, are what really seem to elevate this game for me.

Ni no Kuni II - Revenant Kingdom - PlayStation 4
Though I think this is a good game, it is lacking in a couple of departments.
I thought this would be a full-on JRPG open-world but it turns out you turn into a chibi character travelling the world. This was a turn-off for me, though I should've done my research before playing the game.
The story is decent at best, mostly cliche. Combat is mediocre at best too, but it can be fun at times.
Maybe my expectations were too high on this game?
