Hell yes I'm starting this list with a woman! Deal with it chump! With two pistols, a bad attitude, and a nice dose of insanity Revy balances out the more diplomatic minded main character, Rock.

Kamina from Gurren Lagann. Just who the hell do you think he is!? Kamina is pretty much the plot driver of Gurren Lagann. Even when he's not there. With shades only he could pull off, an awesome sword, and attitude he secures his spot as number nine. He would be higher is he wasn't a perv. That's kid stuff man!

Mamoru Takamura from Hajime no Ippo. The middle-weight champion of the world! He's won all twenty-three of his fights by KO. A natural heavy-weight he borderline starves himself to death to cut weight and he still dominates in the ring! He's also the reason the main character, Ippo, got into boxing. He also knocked out a bear. Once again he is only number eight because of his perverted nature.

Zaraki Kenpachi from Bleach. Look at that eye patch! He's so manly that his eye patch makes him weaker, by sapping his energy, so he can enjoy fights longer! The guy earned his Captain status the manly way! By killing the previous one in a man to man sword fight.

Alex Louis Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist. Na just kidding. Even though he looks the type his sister, Olivier Mira Armstrong, embodies the ideals of manliness far more than him.

Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop. He's so manly he doesn't even have to talk about it, everyone knows. He's a bounty hunter with martial arts moves modeled after Bruce freaking Lee.

Fuhrer King Bradley from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Don't be fooled by the mustache and friendly smile. Over the course of the anime he shows himself to be possession of a keen tactical mind as well as considerable fighting prowess. In other words the Fuhrer knows how to throw down! With that mustache, twin swords, and eye patch how could I not put him on?

Tie between Roronoa Zoro and Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard. Both are from One Piece.
