This is mainly about Linus and his unwavering belief in the Great Pumpkin a mythical being which appears on Halloween and gives presents just like Santa
Theres a few sly digs at Santa a whole section with Snoopy which has no bearing on the story. I liked how Charlie Brown kept receiving rocks when he went trick or treating
If only there were a drinking game for the amount of times "blockhead" is used

A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
I believe this is the first film (a TV special) of Charlie Brown and friends though the comic strip dates back to 1950
Of course within 15 years the characters had been cemented so we see in this film the kind of useless Charlie Brown endeavouring to direct a Christmas play - Thinking a threadbare small tree is good is a LOL
Some good moments in this film when Lucy charges for counselling advice
Not much Snoopy which for this film was a good thing
This is almost like an ambient cartoon where nothing much happens...but in a good way

Just a list of Peanuts/Charlie Brown/Snoopy movies and any comments I'd like to make
Peanuts was probably my first childhood obsession (other than elephants - dont ask!) I used to love reading the little cartoon strips in book collections my elder sister used to bring home from her work
There is something just pure about the whole thing - I think it tapped into some sort of eternal childhood paradise
