Ok so not a geocaching adventure, but you have to admit, they used a GPS system to track down the prize! If only they'd signed the log and replaced the cash with something of equal value.

Did Jack Sparrow use a special Compass or was it ancient SAT NAV? Ok now I'm pushing it, but he did go out looking for Treasure!

This list features all the movies that feature the Treasure Hunting game of Geocaching.
The game of Geocaching basically involves a GPS user hiding "treasure" (a Tupperware container and cheap plastic novelties), and publishing the exact coordinates on the internet, so that other GPS users can go on a "treasure hunt" to find it. The only rules are: if you take something from the cache, you must leave something of equal or greater value, and you must write about your visit in the logbook.
The Complete Idiot's Guide to Geocaching, Second Edition
1. Register for a free membership at geocaching.com
2. Click "Hide & Seek a Cache."
3. Enter your postal code and click "search."
4. Choose any geocache from the list and click on its name.
5. Enter the coordinates of the geocache into your GPS Device.
6. Use your GPS device to assist you in finding the hidden geocache.
7. Sign the logbook and return the geocache to its original location.
8. Share your geocaching stories and photos online.
You don't even need a GPS device if you can read a map and a deft at using Google Earth - its not as accurate, but it works!
