Total playtime: 5 hours (you could probably cut a couple of hours from this if you run through it and don't care about the achievements).
tl;dr: I do not recommend this game.
Barebones very generic story and no challenge beyond pixelhunting for resources, and that's what you do in the game: gather resources and spend them to advance the story.
