While it's a very technically impressive film, I personally didn't feel that I was getting that much out of it.
The story is really bare bones, and while the acting was pretty good (especially Tom Hardy)I just never really connected with any of the characters and didn't experience any strong emotions during or after it.

I know, I know. I rated Deadpool half a star higher than The Revenant. How dare I do something like that, Deadpool is not a prestigious Oscar and Golden Globe nominated film!
Okay, hear me out: The Revenant is a technically better film, but Deadpool had me way more emotionally invested, and was just a hell of a lot more entertaining. For once, I had some silly fun at a movie.
The script is smart, and while the story is really minimal, it's all the details and gags that make the movie. The movie is just so much fun, and I gotta say that it might be my favorite superhero movie.

An incredibly touching and powerful drama that really blew me away expectation wise.
Great cinematography, downright powerful acting (especially from the two main leads), and just overall a really great film.

A pretty average spy film, elevated by the chemistry between the main cast and some standout scenes.
DAMN! This one really surprised me!
A little indie western/horror turned out to be one of my top favorite films of 2015!
The action is intense, the cast is great, and the violence is incredibly hard hitting and gruesome, yet used very sparingly.
Recommended!

Just incredible. I don't really know what to say about this one, since it's very much like an abstract painting: No clear story and a very loose narrative.
A great film. Nothing outstanding or revolutionary, but a really well put together and competently made film.
