Favorite books on TV

A book made into a mini TV show on NBC back in the 80's but can find on DVD if you look really hard. The story sticks to the book very much but all books are better than any moive or tv. Only because the writer does not have to stay within a given time period. So If you have the time you should read this book. Its about spies and revenge, with a love interest.
