Daddy-Long-Legs - Jean Webster
Perhaps my favorite novel of all time; written in epistlery form and told from the perspective of a young ward of the John Grier Home for Girls;Judy Abbott is delightful, impish, imaginative, perplexing, and young... but four years in college under the mysterious sponsorship of a benovelent guardian (sight unseen) has a way of transforming a girl into a lady. For the truly romantic-at-heart, this novel places a fresh spin on the secret admirer storyline... In my opinon, sheer perfection...

Emma (Enriched Classics) - Jane Austen
My favorite Austen work. I love everything about it: the endearing humor, the kind if somewhat spoiled heroine and her endless matchmaking schemes, the long- suffering, gallant, older, and more serious Mr. Knightley who must wait patiently in the wings for his beloved, the witty dialogue, the vivid description, and everything in between. A perfect masterpiece that far transcends the Victorian Society in which it is rooted. Relevant, fresh, funny, and infinitely entertaining.
