Comic Book Heroes

Alright, the actor chosen for this film was not great, and the acting wasn't the best in any case. Still, in spite of it's flaws, I love this comic hero, and hope they'd try again on this series. Spawn is a great almost anti-hero type comic book hero, and he deserves a second chance.

I've included the new version of the Green Hornet only for completeness sake. I've seen it. I've been disappointed and disturbed by it. While the technology upgrade was fairly well done, it captured nothing of the feel and character of the original series. Maybe it wasn't trying to. Maybe it should have.

Be that as it may, the original was amazing, and of course, "starred" Bruce Lee, or well, he stole the show anyway. I admit, it's hard for the new movie to compete with Bruce.

While this character didn't make a great transition to the big screen, the former, radio program was quite good, and if you enjoy old-time radio programs, I'd highly recommend it.
