Ouran High School Host Club (2006)
this is what inspired this list.
there are so many possibilities for OTPs in ouran, but dammit, tamaki and haruhi just belong together.
i shipped these two from the very first episode.
and this is going to make me unpopular, but here's my reasoning... (and keep in mind that i havent read the manga)
i think the only members of the club that are legitimately good people are haruhi, tamaki, and kaoru. and i dont think kaoru is especially interested in haruhi, so that wouldn't work out.
the other members are simply too self-centered and bitter to be in love at the moment, and i dont think any of them are in love with her in any romantic way.
but dammit, tamaki is in love with her from the very beginning, and i think haruhi was too. he devoted himself to protecting her more than any of the other members, and was always willing to risk his well being for her.
and in the end, haruhi does the same for him.
and if that isn't love then what is.
... i get very passionate about this couple, i know. thats why they're first on the list.

it was hard choosing a gif set for this couple because there were so many moments in brotherhood, but this scene got to me the most (in fact, its one of my favorite scenes in any anime, shipping aside).
even though ed does care about others, he really doesn't show it in a traditional way. he's not one to hold people close and comfort them and give them kind words. he usually tries to act pretty aloof.
except with winry.

the best part? it's totally canon and they got married and had babies and oh my god i can't handle it

for the record, i'm not a militant shipper or anything like that. in fact i'm not too into shipping at all. when it comes to shipping, i say whatever floats your boat.
however, there are a few couples that i adore and admittedly get a little defensive over.
