Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna #1) - Kendare Blake
This book is a very exciting read. First of all, it's probably the scariest teen fiction written. I got goosebumps reading it past 11 pm. Most of the TF books are written in the point of view of a young girl, this book is told in the POI of Cas, a 17 year old boy.
I definitely recommend this read, it has a very unique plot which sets it apart from all other TF books.

The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
Who hasn't heard of the hunger games? It's a major motion picture now. Personally, the books are a lot better than the movies but both forms of media aren't bad.
Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) - Kristin Cashore
Very likable characters -- you will fall in love. The world in this book alone will make you want to get lost in it.
Shadowland (The Mediator #1) - Meg Cabot
Now this book is a very refreshing read. Perfect blend of funny, sassy, romantic and adventurous. This is more towards a young girly audience.
When reading this book, I thought of it as several episodes of a TV show and each book installment is a new season. Juicy plot twists! Like the "Gossip Girl" of Teen Paranormal Romance.

The Summoning (Darkest Powers, Book 1) - Kelley Armstrong
The characters in the book make you want to get locked up in a mental home, Kelley Armstrong does such a good job. The romance in this series is set at the PERFECT pace.
Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush #1) - Becca Fitzpatrick
I think of this series as the "soap-opera" of all teen fiction. It's a bit more serious but it's a perfect read on a rainy day, while you sip your cup of tea or hot cocoa.
This series is definitely geared more towards romance than it is towards adventure.

Devil's Kiss - Sarwat Chadda
If you get your excitement more from plot twists and the value of story-telling, definitely check out this book. Although there is romance in this series (There is a second book called Dark Goddess somehow not listed on listal), the focus is mostly on telling the story of Billy Sangreal's life.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs
Creepy! The pictures from this book alone makes a statement. Read it with the lights on.
Incarceron (Incarceron #1) - Catherine Fisher
Plot is a little slow to develop and it gets boring for a while but the beginning is exciting enough to reel most readers in.
A list of books for the lover of teen fiction without the twilight-Esq cheesiness.
