Schitt's Creek (2015)
Short episodes, good for background noise. Sometimes funny, felt sooo embarrassed for the characters lol

Unorthodox (2020)
This is in the same boat with Chernobyl. Western production that aims to accurately portray (in this case) a life of a person who belongs to a closed religious minority. You cry and laugh with the protagonist who is, of course, played by a wonderful actress. Beautiful.

Chernobyl (2019)
Although at times the story wasn't historically accurate, overally Chernobyl was done excellently. Those who survived working on the catastrophy site, generally reviewed this show positively. There were powerful bits that revealed the political system and general life of the people from the period and place the show portrays.
I saw multiple books about it in bookshops, it's wonderful that a TV show can educate and inspire people to gain interest in history.

Community (2009)
Great for having something on in the background. Short episodes, occasionally funny.

Beautifully made, nice fx.
Characters aren't very complex but fx compensate it. The main character looks a bit cartoonish.

Lucifer (2016)
American crime TV show. I feel this genre is getting less and less appealing to me. Still, the first season was binged nicely. I craved for more fantasy elements though. I hear I will get this in the following seasons
Noctem's rating:
British TV show about a guy who looses his wife to a cancer. This tragedy makes him unapologetically sarcastic, mean and depressed.
After life calls out a full range of emotions in a viewer.

Couldn't binge it all. Got sick of being transported into a small American town where everyone is too nice. Just too nice. I hear Tahani is just as weird in real life as she is the TV show o.O

Vikings (2013)
It was so primitive during the first season, then got more intellectual. Quite enjoyed it, I think I over-binged it at some point.

I am usually not a fan of superhero movies/TV shows, that is why I was hesitant to start watching The umbrella academy. When I started, I didn't regret it though.
It's a story of failed childhood heroes with superpowers who are learning and failing how to save the world and their big disfunction al family. Sometimes the childishness of some characters is so annoying it feels like watching one of those unbearable dysney TV shows for teens. It does serve as a comedic element, but still.
The quality of production is very high, comparable to a blockbuster movie. Plot moves fast. Loads of 70s-80s tracks which I loved.

Medici (2016)
Historical costume TV show about the famous florentine family who shaped renaissance.
I have really enjoyed the first season. The second season (which I still haven't finished) is a bit less convincing. Actors who are playing siblings don't look like siblings at all, they look like they belong to different ethnicities (none of which are Italian). It's simply distracting. Either way, I like that this show doesn't delve too much into romance(although it's still ver much present there) and you can actually learn something about history. One interesting comment I've read mentions Medici TV show has a multifaceted view towards religion and I agree.

My favourite TV show. Almost no romance, mysterious without revealing why and how. Brilliant characters. Simply, unique and amazing.

Expected a crime masterpiece based on reviews, got a soap opera, couldn't finish.

Curon (2020)
Italian fantasy TV show about a bunch of small town teenagers and their parents fighting mysterious killer doppelgangers who emerge from a middle of a lake.
Involving, quite interesting. I would I have enjoyed watching it.

Netflix releases only one episode in a week, therefore couldn't properly binge. Quite enjoyable, expected more gore in the 3d class.
Noctem's rating:
Perfect guilty pleasure TV show about teens for summer. I have enjoyed mediterranean setting, some bits of fashion and fancy villas, teenage warriors, cool fighting scenes, fantasy and little actual religion.
Only 10 episodes though.

Suburra: Blood on Rome (2017)
Italian tv show about three roman criminals who come from different backgrounds. Vatican, Sicilian mafia, Roman mafia, Gypsy mafia, corrupt politicians, everything is in this TV show. Waiting eagerly for the next episode.

Orphan Black (2013)
The story and acting is really addicting despite the show having quite a few seasons. Really wanted more after it finished.

Dark (2017)
Small German town serves a setting for on the best TV shows of the decade. Who could have expected.

Inside No. 9 (2014)
Each episode is different, sometimes reminds me of black mirror. Quirky, funny, sometimes sad. Really enjoyed it
