This is an epic documentary about the Holocaust, it was directed by Claude Lanzmann, and it's (in my opinion) best documentary ever made. He interviews survivors, witnesses, and ex-Nazis, to give a horrifying portrait of the events of Nazi genocide.

Amazing ant-war film, set during World War I. It was directed by Jean Renoir (for me one of the best directors of all time).

Another Jean Renoir's movie, and I belive on of the greatest he ever made. Rules of the Game (La Regle du jeu) is a very moral film about frequently amoral people.

Directed by Francois Truffaut. Inspired by Truffaut's own early life, it shows a resourceful boy growing up in Paris and apparently dashing headlong into a life of crime. One of the most intensely touching stories ever made about a young adolescent.

This is one of the best biopics I've ever seen, it tells Piaf's life story through the extraordinary performance of Marion Cotillard and I just adore this film.

This is one of the most entertaining films ever made, it tells such an amazing and charming story, and one more reason I love this film so much is because it's a silent film in black and white. So amazing.

After the death of their mother, twins in Montreal are called to the office of her employer. She left for her children, two letters. Jeanne (Melissa Desormeaux-Poulin) is asked to give hers to the father they never knew. Simon (Maxim Gaudette) is told to give his to a brother they didn't know they had. Amazing and a little hard to watch melodrama by Denis Villeneuve

Film is set in Provance in the 1920's. It's a story about two farmers who conspite to block the only water source in order to discourage the newcomer from the city, from buing the land they want. The men from the city is Jean de Florette, a hunchback tax collector played by Gerard Depardieu. The role of Jean de Florette is I belive on of the greatest roles Gerard ever plaied.

The film is based on a real man, and the book he astonishingly succeeded in writing although he could blink only his left eye. The man was Jean-Dominique Bauby (Mathieu Amalric), who was the editor of Elle, the French fashion magazine, when he had his paralyzing stroke.

I'm not the fan of comedy but this movie is amazing.
Film is set in 1941 when the Second World War is raging across Europe; British bomber pilots have to bail out over Paris and encounter one incident after another in their attempt to get to the Free Zone.
