This is personally my favorite album by Nine Inch Nails (The Downward Spiral being an extremely close 2nd). The mood of the album is what makes it incredible; it has such a dark, gloomy, eerie, and mysterious sound, very present on songs like The Wretched, Even Deeper, The Great Below, and The Mark Has Been Made. The use of acoustic instruments mixed with industrial helps boost this feeling.
