Kelley was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to a businessman and a real estate agent. She has two younger siblings, including actor Parker Mack.
She began acting in commercials at a young age, but realized a love for storytelling when she was given a mini video camera as a birthday gift. For her first movie role, as "Chloe" in The Elephant Garden (2008), she won an Acting Award from Tisch School of the Arts. The film also won the Student Visionary Award at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival.
