A German film, television and theatre actor who is best known for playing the role of Lieutenant Hübner in the crime series 'Polizeiruf 110' ('Police Call 110') during the years 1972-1991.
After the end of World War II, Frohriep was engaged in the FDJ amateur theater movement. Although he had no professional acting training, he was hired in 1951 by the Berlin Friendship Theater. He later made additional appearances at various theaters in West Germany.
