John Randolph was an American film, television and stage actor who was the original actor to portray Frank Costanza in the iconic TV series "Seinfeld" before being replaced by actor and comedian Jerry Stiller. He also had a small role in the 1948 film "The Naked City". Randolph and his wife, fellow actor Sarah Cunningham, were blacklisted in Hollywood for refusing to name names before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). He also served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.
