He is known for his starring role in the HBO series Succession (2018 – 2023), for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Drama Series in 2020 and a Golden Globe Award. In 2022, he featured on Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Film work includes Molly's Game, Detroit, The Big Short, The Judge, Selma, Parkland, Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Armageddon Time.
