An old and hard-boiled British crook is a fish out of water when he arrives in the United States to avenge his daughter's death. "The Limey" is a typical Soderbergh film: slight touches of black humour, a story that leaves no room for explanations, and lots of cuts that jump between the past and the present in a somewhat confusing way. The director is interested in simple things: stylishly dressed characters who deliver catchy lines, expensive cars, guns, and beautiful women.
