Facing his final season with the Detroit Tigers baseball team, veteran outfielder Billy Young (Roy Scheider of JAWS) sees his dream of playing in the World Series slipping away. It takes the courage and boundless enthusiasm of a young Tigers' fan (Kramer vs Kramer's Justin Henry) to rekindle the ballplayer's faith in himself.
