Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont - Region 1 DVD

I had never heard of this movie, which I took home from work, seeing that it was classified as a comedy. Watching it, I discovered that it was barely a comedy, and was kind of painful to watch. There is no character development through the movie, and it just plods along until the very predictable end. Not great, definitely a waste of time to watch.

The storyline is familiar and simple, with echoes of Tuesdays with Morrie, but the intimacy portrayed by the two lead actors brings surprising layers and emotion to the film, which envelopes the viewer like a cozy shawl.
