As Gundam Seed (2002) continues, the Earth Alliance ship Archangel lands in the North African desert; Kira has to reconfigure the Gundam Strike to operate under gravity and in sand (not an easy trick, given its weight). His Coordinator powers enable him to do the programming in time to destroy the Zaft BuCues, cat-like mecha that resemble Zoids, with some help from the resistance movement Desert Dawn.
