prom night ii is a decent flick and remains so despite its horrible era. honestly if i hadn't lived in the 80's i might believe people actually dressed and acted this way. but having been there we knew it was borderline parody and definitely cheesy when they tried to depict teens in a lot of 80's horror movies. especially slashers like this. its swallow-able but gag worthy.

Out of all the original Prom Night movies this one happens to be my favourite. It helps that I had a crush on Vicki Carpenter as well and seeing her full frontal nudity helped out a lot I think too. I like all the death scenes as well and it's not a bad edit of a movie overall. I'm also a big fan of Michael Ironside so I was surprised and delighted to see him in this when I first saw it. When Hamilton High's Prom Queen of 1957, Mary Lou Maloney is killed by her jilted boyfriend, she comes back for revenge 30 years later. Bill Nordham is now the principle of Hamilton High and his son is about to attend the prom with Vicki Carpenter.
