Takashi Kamiyama enrolls there to prove that a good student can study anywhere. Although the Cromartie students spend a lot of time bragging about how bad they are, they don't really do much. Takenouchi, the boss of the Cromartie freshman gets carsick; none of the freshman will say Mechazawa is a robot, for fear of hurting his feelings; Yamaguchi, the head thug at Destrade dreams of forming a comedy-writing team with Kamiyama. About the only thing that moves in the show is Hayashida's lavender topknot. A good student may be able to study anywhere, but no one learns much at Cromartie High.
