Deaf actor who is famous for his performance as Moritz in the Deaf West Theatre and eventual Broadway revival of Spring Awakening in 2015. He eventually won the Theatre World Award for outstanding Broadway debut performance for his work. He garnered worldwide fame in 2021 when he appeared in the Oscar-winning film CODA. He was raised in Duluth, Minnesota. He began dating DWTS partner Britt Stewart in 2022 and the couple got engaged in December 2023. They got married in August 2025.
