Olivia "Liv" Moore is the protagonist of iZombie.
Liv is a medical resident who once had a bright future ahead of her, until she died and woke up as a zombie. As a result, she must feed on brains at least once a month to survive, and took a job at the King County Medical Examiner's Office to have access to the brains she needs.
Liv temporarily absorbs new memories, skills, and personality traits with each brain eaten. She then begins to solve the deaths of the victims whose brain she's eaten, with the help of her boss Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, the only one who knows her secret, and Det. Clive Babineaux, who is led to believe her visions are psychic powers.
