Daniel Victor Snaith (born 1978) is a mathematician and a composer, musician and recording artist under stage names Caribou, Manitoba and Daphni.
Snaith was born in London, Ontario, Canada. His early life was spent in the Province of Ontario's Golden Horseshoe region, first in Dundas and later in Toronto. Snaith attended Parkside Secondary School and later studied mathematics at the University of Toronto. He then moved to the United Kingdom and continued his postgraduate studies at Imperial College London.
