Water for Elephants Reviews

LOVED this book. Picked it up at a second hand book shop in Hamsted, which feels like years ago. It exceeded my expectations and my mum (whose read A LOT of books in her time and her opinion to me and many friends means a lot) loved it too! I also enjoy googling a book after reading and at the time the film was about to go into production...still haven't seen it...

I enjoyed this book about circus life during the Great Depression. I especially like the way the author skillfully wove in historic facts such as an elephant not understanding English and the problem "jake leg" which was caused by tainted Jamaica ginger.
