"7.10. Didn't really care about the plot or characters, but the presentation of the power structures and metaphors of the novel are amazing. The flow of capital and rubber is like a flow of Amazon river, along comes vice, prostitution and capitalism, which in itself has the power over people kinda like gods or spirits of nature, etc. "
