The Essence of SaGa Frontier is one of two Japanese-only books released by Studio Bent Stuff containing a wealth of information on the 1997 PlayStation game. Within it's pages are detailed explanations of the game's races, characters and scenarios - it even contains information on the parts of the game that were left on the cutting room floor due to time constraints like the seventh scenario. The last 50 pages contain the watercolor illustrations produced by Tomomi Kobayshi.
