Bonnie MacBird was born and raised in foggy San Francisco which may explain her affinity for Victorian London. After earning a BA in music and a Master's in Film at Stanford, she moved to Los Angeles, where her long Hollywood career includes feature film story editor at Universal, original writer of the movie TRON, three Emmys for documentary work, and numerous live theatre credits as an actor, playwright, and director.
She has loved Sherlock Holmes since reading the canon at age ten, and runs a Sherlockian Meetup in the Los Angeles area as well as a playreading group.
